Touch therapy

 

The significance of touch is now being widely accepted and noted to be an imperative component for our physical and emotional health. It provides conditions to naturally boost oxytocin (the love hormone) and Serotonin (the happy hormone).

Some benefits include;

  • Can lower anxiety, depression and aid in lowering blood pressure.

  • Has the ability assist in protecting against infections, boosting the immune system and relieving physical pain.

  • Regulates the pleasure center in your brain, which may assist in stabilising moods.

  • Promotes bonding and feeling of connectedness.

  • Increases relationship and sexual satisfaction.

Further more, touch enables a form of communication, where emotions can be relayed which is particularly important for people whom are non-verbal.

 

For others, this session provides an opportunity to practice interpersonal skills with an emphasis on discussing boundaries.

Anyone is welcome to experience a cuddle session, though some people whom may could consider this as part of a therapeutic plan may be/have experienced;
